In the field, Portable Machinery Health Diagnostics
In an environment where you cannot afford to constantly chase the next breakdown, you need to quickly and accurately identify developing faults and, ultimately, the underlying root cause of the machinery problem. Actionable information at your fingertips allows you to prioritise maintenance activities thus avoiding unnecessary interruptions in your production schedules.

The CSI 2130 Machinery Health Analyser simplifies the task of machinery health diagnostics and is intended for application in the field for periodic vibration data collection and analysis. Onboard analysis for advanced trouble-shooting is available at the push of a button providing an instantaneous machinery health assessment.

Routine data and corrective maintenance jobs can be uploaded to the AMS Suite: Machinery Health Manager software for analysis and reporting.
The capabilities of the CSI 2130 include:

Dual Channel to Reduce Measurement Time
The CSI 2130 is available with either one or two channels. The dual channel CSI 2130 not only provides advanced analysis options, but enables measurement time to be reduced by up to 45%.

PeakVue® - Detecting Stress Waves
The CSI 2130 includes Emerson's patented PeakVue technology that detects stress waves - the earliest sign of bearing and gear wear. Demodulation and other analogue analysers typically can’t detect such faults until much later – usually when the machine is already damaged. PeakVue not only offers the earliest warning of developing faults, it also provides an indication of severity. PeakVue allows the measuring of bearing problems as low as 0.4RPM.

Measuring Signals on Slow and High Speed Machinery
Using Emerson's patented Slow Speed Technology, the CSI 2130 can accurately measure signals on critical slow speed equipment that would be out of range for other vibration analysers. The CSI 2130 also boasts the highest frequency range in the market measuring signals up to 80,000 Hz, which is required for accurate diagnosis of centrifugal compressors and other high speed machinery.

Cross-Channel Analysis
The cross-channel analysis built into the CSI 2130 can display orbits for turbomachinery that determine the actual movement of the shaft during operation, identify structural faults such as cracks and resonances and can also display test impacts.

Measuring Variable Speed
While most vibration systems do not take variable speed into account during data collection, the CSI 2130 automatically adapts all of its diagnostic tools to variable turning speeds during routine data collection. This provides an accurate evaluation of developing problems in the field.

Transient Analysis
The CSI 2130 can record the raw vibration signal over a prolonged period of time for post-processing and analysis. This is essential for diagnostics of turbomachinery, startup and coastdown or machines with short, repetitive duty cycles. This data can be examined directly on the CSI 2130 or up load the data to AMS Machinery Manager.

Dynamic Balancing
Two inbuilt applications are available in the CSI 2130 for field balancing. The first removes background vibration that would otherwise contaminate the calculated solution. The second automatically checks the vibration data on the machine while you perform the balance job. This allows you to identify and alert you of severe structural faults so corrective action can be taken.

Laser Alignment
The CSI 2130 can be used to laser align machine trains before returning them to service. Emerson's advanced laser system uses built-in dual inclinometers to automatically determine the shaft position, so you simply rotate the shaft and the solution is plotted on the display.

Electric Motor Diagnostics
Heat and fatigue, associated with excessive motor starts or overloading, can lead to broken rotor bars in electric motors. The CSI 2130 non-intrusively collects current, flux, and temperature data while the motors remain online. This motor analysis technology can diagnose electrical problems, providing information on rotor-related electrical faults such as broken rotor bars, high-resistance joints and cracked rotor end rings.

ODS / Modal Analysis (Operational Deflection Shapes)
The ODS/Modal Analysis makes short work out of structural analysis by automatically configuring the required series of cross-channel tests. Cross channel data can also be analysed in the VibPro module of the AMS Machinery Manager application or exported to specialised ODS/Modal Analysis software.
