475 FIELD COMMUNICATOR
The 475 Field Communicator is proven to simplify your work in the field. Use the 475 Field Communicator to configure field devices or perform diagnostics for effective start-up and troubleshooting. Create a quality segment, detect power supply problems, or locate incorrect terminations and faulty devices without dragging a laptop into the plant. The 475 Field Communicator is the universal, intrinsically safe, rugged, and reliable answer to communicating with all your devices.
Built on the industry-leading technology of the 375 Field Communicator, the 475 Field Communicator now includes a full graphical interface, faster start up and operating time so jobs can be performed quickly, and a long lasting Lithium-Ion battery that ensures days, not hours, of operation. Bluetooth® communication is also now available to establish a quick connection to the PC to transfer device configuration data.
The 475 Field Communicator supports all HART®, WirelessHART® and FOUNDATION™ fieldbus devices. The inbuilt graphical interface uses powerful enhanced Electronic Device Description Language (EDDL) technology that allows you to read data from field devices in a graphical manner. Charts, graphs, gauges, and product images are just a few of the ways in which important device data can be displayed using the 475 Field Communicator.
ENSURING YOU HAVE ACCESS TO ALL NEW DEVICE DESCRIPTIONS New HART, WirelessHART and FOUNDATION fieldbus devices, as well as functional updates to existing devices, are introduced continually by device vendors. Keeping up-to-date with the required Device Descriptions (DDs) or Enhanced DDs for all the devices in your plant can be a real challenge. With the Easy Upgrade option, keeping your 475 Field Communicator updated with the most current DDs and Enhanced DDs is easy. As new DDs and Enhanced DDs become available, simply download them from the Internet to upgrade your 475 Field Communicator.
Identify Valve Problems
The ValveLink Mobile application, within the 475 Field Communicator, allows users to access predictive diagnostics from Fisher® FIELDVUE™ digital valve controllers. Diagnostics such as valve signature, dynamic error band, and step response can be performed with this application. Results can be transferred to AMS Suite: Intelligent Device Manager, the leading industry predictive asset management application, for further analysis and documentation.
UPGRADE OR TRADE-IN YOUR 375 FIELD COMMUNICATOR
If you are an existing user of an older Field Communicator from Emerson, you can trade-up to receive the 475 Field Communicator. Contact us for details. If you are not ready to trade-up, you can still upgrade the 375 Field Communicator enabling you to get more value from your existing investment. Renewing your Easy Upgrade licence will ensure you have access to device drivers and system software updates for the next three years. Other upgrade options also exist such as a larger system card for more memory and a Lithium-Ion Power Module that doubles battery life. INTERFACES WITH AMS DEVICE MANAGER
The 475 Field Communicator is fully compatible with AMS Device Manager. AMS Device Manager allows you to configure, calibrate, document, and troubleshoot HART, WirelessHART and FOUNDATION fieldbus devices. Transfer device configuration data between AMS Device Manager and the 475 Field Communicator will ensure you are always looking at the latest device information. When used together, the 475 Field Communicator and AMS Device Manager enable you to efficiently manage all your field devices.
