Emerson’s Industry-Leading Asset Management Application AMS® Suite Now Available in German
AMS Suite users experience the benefits of predictive diagnostics for a complete picture of asset health

Emerson Process Management announces that AMS® Suite: Intelligent Device Manager 9.0 is now available in a German-language version. This release provides a common interface for users to manage their HART®, FOUNDATION™ fieldbus, and wireless devices. With AMS Device Manager, users can extend their visibility of asset health across the plant. AMS Device Manager is a key component of the PlantWeb® digital plant architecture.

The German version of AMS Device Manager 9.0 reduces commissioning, calibration, and troubleshooting time, while improving plant availability and performance. When installed with the DeltaV™ or Ovation® digital automation system, AMS Device Manager streamlines access to device diagnostic information. Seamless integration enables users to easily access predictive diagnostics from FOUNDATION fieldbus, HART, and wireless devices, bringing real-time information to plant staff for fast decision-making. Device alert management and audit trail documentation are achieved in a single application. AMS Device Manager can also connect to third party systems to ensure users have access to the full power of their intelligent field devices.

"By providing local language versions of AMS Suite, Emerson continues to respond to the needs of our global customers,” said Craig Llewellyn, president of Emerson’s Asset Optimization division. “The current release of AMS Device Manager 9.0 in German improves ease-of-use for our customers and provides them with important predictive diagnostics from plant assets to maximise their plants’ availability and performance.”

Furthering system security, AMS Device Manager supports the creation of user accounts that use Windows network-security capabilities, allowing users to customise the level of security enforced in the application. AMS Device Manager can also be expanded to include more devices and more client stations, providing flexibility for large systems.

Emerson’s PlantWeb Services help AMS Device Manager users install, implement, and incorporate the software with their daily maintenance procedures, integrating work processes with the enterprise asset management system. PlantWeb Services create re-engineered maintenance work processes that improve efficiency and help users become best cost producers.
