Product Manager - Level
Stockport (preferred location)
Purpose of Role:
The primary purpose of the job is to develop and implement growth strategies for the Rosemount Tank Radar (RTR) & Mobrey Level product groups – working directly with customers & the UK & Ireland sales organisation to achieve or exceed bookings budgets & price expectations.
Promote the sale of the RTR & Mobrey Level product lines in the UK & Ireland by preparing and implementing growth strategies ensuring these are consistent with divisional and European world area strategies.
Launch new products & product updates in the UK & Ireland market place.
Produce on-going product analysis for the Level business including bookings & sales against budget, product mix, new market penetration, average unit price etc.
Deliver product & applications training to UK & Ireland customers – both internal & external. This will include Level product orientated PlantWeb messaging.
Provide high level technical, product & applications support to customers – both internal & external.
Assist the field sales, project pursuit, industry & account management teams, as well as ADCs, in winning orders. This will involve joint & solo customer visits, Lunch & Learns etc.
Assist project pursuit & inside sales in prequalification & support during project bid.
Develop & maintain evergreen competitor profiles for all major UK & Ireland Level competitors; giving tactical support to sales in competitive situations & feeding back competitor information to the Rosemount & Mobrey divisions.
Assist in the analysis of business trends such as bookings, sales & backlog data, delivery times, run rates, quote conversion rates etc. and propose corrective strategies where applicable.
Develop Level marketing communications programmes & work with the Marcoms Manager on their implementation.
Gather Level applications data for the development of QBRs both within UK Marcoms as well as Rosemount & Mobrey divisions – ensuring finished articles are effectively used across the UK & Ireland sales teams.
Be the ‘eyes & ears’ for the Rosemount Level Divisions feeding back UK & Ireland markets trends, product needs & competitor activities. This will involve representing the UK & Ireland in the European Level Leader team.
Qualifications/Skills:
HNC/Degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline
Background in selling and/or marketing of instrumentation – ideally with a Level technology focus
Good business acumen with strong customer orientation
Strong communication & technical presentation skills
PC Literate
